While we are preparing for a well-deserved Summer break, save the date for the AMeLiE international workshop in Prague! The workshop will take place in the framework of the biggest international event on digital transformation coming up in September – the ALL DIGITAL Summit 2022.
It will take place in the Czech capital under the Presidency of the EU on 28-29 September 2022.
On 28th September from 14:15-18:30h, a longer workshop titled “Combating online hate speech: the power of media literacy and non-hostile communication” will bring together partners, teachers, trainers, project managers and representatives of public authorities to discuss about hate speech and how to address it at school by involving the whole school community. In this workshop, we will discuss what is online hate speech and will share different tools and approaches for addressing it. We will hear from activists, public authorities, and educators themselves. We will learn more about the Manifesto on non-hostile communication and its ten principles (and check whether you apply them in your everyday communication online at work, or in your other activities and free time). We will learn how to organise a Kind Speech Day campaign and hear from teacher who already did it.

On 29th September from 14:15 – 15:30h, a hands-on workshop on how to use the AMeLiE worksheets will complement the topic. The workshop will be based on practical activities and participants will have the unique opportunity to experience the worksheets under the guidance of the authors of the methodology – our colleagues from Parole Ostilli. In the evening, at 19:30h, the five winners of the Best Kind Speech Day Campaign competition will be awarded, and we will celebrate the work of the teachers.
The winning teachers, and well as project partners will have the chance to attend the ALL DIGITAL Summit for free, and to meet with policymakers, digital education stakeholders, trainers and educators, civic society, industry representatives, and young people who will gather in Prague, after 2 years of online meetings, to get the latest insights on policy actions, innovation and projects related to digital skills, education and empowering the young generation. Interesting networking opportunities will be guaranteed in a lively context with more than 150 participants to allow them to connect and exchange ideas.
As the title of the event suggests, the Summit is organised by ALL DIGITAL, partner of the AMeLiE project. The full programme of the event is available here and registration is open. Networking sessions and a market place will complement the wide range of possibilities for exchange and discussions. We are looking forward to meeting AMeLiE partners and interested stakeholders in Prague!
